Im just glad they didn't cripple the PC port so it wouldn't outshine the console versions. Maybe the delay is for that reason because if given a choice between PC and console people may not buy two copies of the game. I actually suspect the delay was more to allow Blizzard's release schedule some breathing room – if they released at the same time as console they'd be competing in the Battlenet app with WoW, which got a big new patch the week before. It's quite clear from the beta that the PC version is optimised as all hell and would very likely have been ready to go if needed today.

If you don't spend anything extra other than the cost of the game I assume all the real life money currency is only used for cosmetics? Think again They are testing the waters with pay for gear.

This would significantly reduce the time interval before the first output starting flowing back to the client and might avoid the timeout. Chrised's patch, above, could be. You can buy mods which boost your character in certain ways. And you can buy bright engrams which have a chance at dropping rare gear – but they'll keep pushing the envelope more and more. Overwatch is the only game that has handled microtransactions well. Destiny 2 I see as being poor. Everis sells Bright Engrams, which are sort of like loot boxes from Overwatch.

It works out to 200 Silver for one, three for 500, and five for 800. Decode them and you'll earn special rewards like Exotic weapon ornaments, a Sparrow, emotes, or something else. As Polygon explains, there is a chance you could get an elemental weapon mod, which can affect gameplay and may be controversial because of that. Weapon stats can be 'slightly' enhanced with these mods, and there are also armor mods and one for subclass abilities to make them regenerate faster. Additionally, you can buy Destiny 2 emotes with Silver--and there are some cool-looking ones. For example, Spicy Ramen shows your character cooking and consumer spicy ramen while Flip Out displays your Guardian flipping a table over.

There are also shaders, which has caused some anger among fans. So I've never played destiny 1, and wondering if I should get this You sound like the target market if you enjoyed all those other games which revolve around grinding loots. Have you played Halo before? The shooting is similar to that but with borderlands style damage sponges. I could only play diablo through once or twice max as I am not the type of person who can grind constantly just for better gear through the same content.

If the grinding is through new content and story I could possibly do it as the main thing I enjoy for games is the story and the journey from start to finish. Destiny 2 does sound like it has about 20 hours of story content though which is very good for a FPS game so even if I just played the story and missions once and then quit it might be worth the money. Overwatch is the only game that has handled microtransactions well. What, by ramping and ramping the number of useless 'sprays' that nobody wants or uses ever, just to dilute the loot pool of stuff people REALLY want (i.e. Microtransations in full-price games are terrible regardless, but when the ONLY loot in a game like Overwatch is cosmetic, gating that collection behind ever-increasingly-terrible RNG to try to boost sales of gambling boxes.

Well, the precedent was set long ago when most of that game's players didn't only accept it, but *embraced* it. Wonder if they'll push the launch date a week or 2 earlier Looks as set in stone as the console release date was.

The game played fine in beta this whole double dipping for profit is frustrating I'm pretty sure I've posted before that my guess is the delay has nothing to do with the game being ready (it clearly is) and everything to do with one or both of: • Blizzard didn't want competition for their latest WoW patch on the same launcher, or • Sony and/or Microsoft wanted a period of console exclusivity It's probably a bit of both. I'm pretty sure I've posted before that my guess is the delay has nothing to do with the game being ready (it clearly is) and everything to do with one or both of: Blizzard didn't want competition for their latest WoW patch on the same launcher, or Sony and/or Microsoft wanted a period of console exclusivity It's probably a bit of both. Everyone's already finished the new wow patch haven't they? A 6 week delay is huge. If I remember correctly playstation got destiny 1 a day or 2 before xbox at launch?

Maybe a week. But 6 weeks just doesn't sit well unless if they are trying to line up the dlc release for Christmas to boost sales again. Either way you look at it, they're just money grabbing unnecessarily. Everyone's already finished the new wow patch haven't they? They just released stage 3 of it today with a new dungeon etc etc.

And one does not just 'finish' a Wow patch in the new Blizzard mindset of 'grind till you drop then raid or die';) Going by Blizzard's current 11-week schedule for Wow patches, the next raid should show up on November 21, so Destiny 2 hitting a month earlier comes at what they'd see as the ideal lull between world quest content and raid content in Wow – a time they can afford to lose both normal players and the streamers for a little bit. Just speculation, of course.

But I doubt the chosen PC release date exists in a bubble outside of Blizzard's own schedule. 6 weeks of high numbers then a massive drop as everyone moves to PC? The thing is, everyone's NOT moving to PC. The console player base for Destiny is HUGE, and the vast majority of them, I'm sure, are perfectly happy to stay with their console version where their friends are and where it feels familiar. The PC release's main goal will be new players to add to the franchise's income stream:) Myself, I bought both, but I won't be 'moving' to the PC version. I'll play both, but I suspect while the PC version's gonna look lovely, I'll still spend a good deal of time on the PS4 version since I've already invested in a character on it.

And without cross-platform character saves. As someone who never played Destiny, I'm still on the fence about this. Played a bit of the open beta and didn't really see what all the fuss is about.

Seemed very generic by the numbers type of shooter that doesn't really do anything new or interesting. Like a more serious Borderlands without the fun and ridiculous weapons and humour. So what's so special about this? You guys seem really hyped to play.

Pretty happy with the reviews I've read so far. Came across this video: while looking to see what some the gameplay is like, and he doesn't seem very impressed by it. And are there any dedicated servers for this, or is it all peer to peer? I wish the pc version had of come out the same time as the console version,i was really looking forward to the pc version, but after spending 2 or 3 weeks leveling up my 3 characters on the ps4 version of the game i am having a hard time trying to talk myself into starting the grind all over again considering i have nearly run out of things to do already with the ps4 version. Haha i preordered the digital delux edtion and even built a new high end x299 pc just to play destiny 2 on the pc and now i don't even feel like playing it and starting that grind all over again,i'll probably play the pc every now and then just to look at good graphics, bit of a shame really. It almost feels like the PC version was deliberately sabotaged with such a massive delay. It almost certainly was deliberate, I'd guess.

Those who played the beta know full well the thing's ready to go. But there are powerful forces at play with Sony and Microsoft – especially Sony – that want their money from pre-orders and DLC and micro-transactions locked away before it's taken out of their hands by a company that actually owns the game developer. I agree with others, the excitement about the PC version is massively lessened by having played it all already on PS4, but I'm still excited for the idea that my Battlenet friends will be able to join me next time – and I have a lot more of them (thanks to WoW, Diablo etc) than I do PS4 or Xbox friends:). No question the better experience is on keyboard and mouse, I'm not saying otherwise. It's just like Xaphire said the hype is gone, nothing is new with the game now everything is discovered. It almost feels like the PC version was deliberately sabotaged with such a massive delay. I think that's exactly what happened,i think they did deliberately sabotaged the pc version,i think it's probably something along the lines of them worried they might loose a lot of the console users, console players switching from console to pc on day one if the the pc version had of been released the same day as the console, they probably want console players to stay where they are and try to get a new pc fan base as well.

But what ever the reason,it's killed the pc version for me,going through those story missions 3 times on 3 characters is enough for me,let alone doing it for a 4th,5th and 6th time. Yeah I hate to say it but this delay has killed any hype I'm sure anyone had about the game. And anyone who has jumped onto console and grinded out the 305 cap and now supposedly knows all the secrets etc, will most likely log on complete the events or whatever they're called for the week, then jump off until next week. Definitely a direct sabotage by Sony and whomever else was involved to delay it by so long. If the DLC's are also 6 weeks delayed I can see the pc version dieing before it even picks up.

Been filling in with Warframe for the time being and quite impressed. Played it 3 years ago, but was a bit meh, and recently picked it up again and impressed. It's funny, I was a founders backer for Warframe and enjoyed it a hell of a lot during the early development. But then they started focusing on just adding content on top of content without fixing issues with previously added content, then the games scope and direction started to drastically change and it seemed to all go down hill and I just bailed on it a long with a large group of previously loyal fans. I tried it again a couple months ago and it might have been my nostalgia for the time spent in the very early stages of the game but I really didn't enjoy it.

On the actual topic of Destiny 2 the three friends I was going to be playing the game with on PC have all cancelled their preorders because they have just lost the hype for the game and the excitement. Only one of those guys has actually played the game on one of the consoles as well, the other two haven't had any game time at all because they were saving the experience for the PC version and are just over it. Nope Activision confirmed that the box copies are just a download code to redeem on the Destiny game or Battle.net.

Gonna have to get used to this now as physical copies of PC games are going this way. All of the biggest PC games being played at the moment were non physical copy games that can only be purchased online via Steam etc such as PUBG, LoL, DOTA, CSGO etc.

It will be a sad day in the gaming industry and collectors alike when physical copies of games for PC and console can only be purchased digitally. I had NBN once, it dled GTAV in something like 20 min, then my ceiling legit collapsed on me two nights after and I had to move out as the house was unlivable.

Never had good internet again:'( Yup, fibre NBN here and I have to move out next month, after four years of the best broadband available in Australia (which by global standards isn't saying much, but still.!) Anything from the Blizzard app downloads in minutes rather than hours for me – I routinely do fresh WoW re installs after patches (because their file system is bloated and awful) and I can download the entire ~42GB game inside 40 minutes. D2 comes out while I still have fibre goodness, thankfully:). Australian peasant:P.One of the few good things about moving over to the UK, glorious 300mb down mwhahaha. One of our WoW raid team is in NZ with 1000MB down, so the Kiwis have us both beaten on that count;) Playing through the D2 campaign again the other day on a second character reminded me just how damn good the game looks – and it's going to look even better on PC.

I think at the moment the campaign is the best thing the game has going for it, but hopefully Bungie will listen to feedback and make some endgame changes to keep people engaged. 'As the graphic above shows, the GeForce GTX 1060 6GB, recommended by Bungie, is also our recommended graphics card for 1920x1080 Destiny 2 gameplay. That's underselling it a smidge, however, because the GeForce GTX 1060 is a rock star in Destiny 2, running at the game's 'Highest' preset, sans DSR-style supersampling, at 70-100 FPS, for an average of 87.1 FPS. If you can't believe what you're reading, take a look at the framerate and frametime graphs below for visual confirmation of this astounding result.' Here's Nvidia's coverage of the graphics settings in the PC version of Destiny 2: Makes me feel even better about having a GTX 1060 (and they're not exaggerating, either – the beta defaulted to 'Highest' for me and ran like butter). Will D2 use our Battle.Net tag in-game?

Or is some other 'name' required e.g. A Bungie account? I have been wondering about this myself, because my account name is garry and ive been wondering how this will go with destiny 2 because there must be a lot of blizzard accounts named garry and the way it works on ps4 with psn is you can only have one account named garry, how will it work with say 20 other people with all the same account name garry, will bungie let duplicates login. I hope it doesn't add that bunch of numbers that all blizzard accounts have after their user names. Man buying the game from a brick and mortar is annoying (eb, with pricematch).

I pay now, and have to go in a second time on release day to pick up an empty box with just a cd key in it. No preload possible, no cds containing a few gigs of data to make the download smaller. I really don't see why they can't just email me my cd key rather than making me go in for an empty box. I also don't see why Blizzard don't just let you freely start downloading assets without a serial like many other online only games – it's not like you can use it anyway without a serial.

I'm looking for a clan For Pc Australia/NZ. I looked through the wiki and could not see many clans for PC, Would like a mature layed back clan for a friendly fun environment, Been a long time PC enthusiast and leader of my own 50 member Battlefield ¾ clan. I have been playing the Division for the last 18 months and using discord to build up a good friends base to have people to run incursions + highend content I would like the clan to have it own website and discord server ( I could even setup a website/forum if needed) Not sure if people are allowed to post here for recruiting so Private Message me the details if needed. It's kind of annoying, but I guess it's up to the publisher to tell the stores it's okay to release early. Definitely ordering digitally next time, not worth the hassle to save ~$10 i shouldnt have preordered but at the time it was 55 at jbhifi or bnet of 90 bucks. Well, it won't be ready until the servers open. So what's the rush.

In fact, it's going to be a nightmare fir the first couple of days while the servers are open. Will you be able to do much constructive before the weekend? Well its nice to have it sitting there ready, and im hoping for a smooth launch, taking a day off on thursday so hoping its stable! Jbhifi should offer the key service as an online purchase given they aren't providing any specific install media. Publishers should be informing brick and mortars that this is ok on these kind of releases too.

You could have given me the code a month ago and it still won't do anything until 3am tomorrow. Except give me the convenience of preloading early. Shouldn't matter too much pulling 1.8MB/s average atm on a 38GB download. Just got better things to be doing right now than going to JB to get a box with a code. So it's past 6pm here and my game hasn't arrived. I don't think JB understands the importance of getting new release games to customers on time.

I won't be ordering from them anymore again. I've preordered many games from EBGames and they ship games 2 days in advance from QLD to VIC so it arrives on release day. JB's online preorder system can't even handle pickups as the only option is delivery. Chris Brown Holding Back Free Mp3 Download there.

You need to walk in and preorder in store if you want to pick it up. I preordered as I wanted the limited edition version and without a preorder you can't get them.

Was going to go to sleep early and wake up at 4am to play with friends but that isn't going to happen. I've learnt my lesson with JB preorders. I guess no because when I pre-ordered the game at JB, they gave me separate codes. Retail pre-orders got codes (which are what's being sold at the grey-market CD key sites) but if you pre-ordered through Blizzard, you have all of them on your account already. Note that the weapon and ghost aren't available till you finish the campaign. Meanwhile, though, the emblem given to those who played the beta is not being provided to PC players.

Make sure you disable any app that injects anything into the ui – so overlay for things like fps/system states and anything like msi afterburner.and Spotify, and iTunes, and. Tons of other apps. Kind of silly that I feel lucky to have happened to have shut down Spotify before I launched the game:- The PC port is a thing of beauty, though. Not without issues (anti-aliasing is a bit rubbish and REALLY shows up on the quest logo at the left of the screen) but it runs like butter and – unexpectedly for me – it's 100x more fun to play with keyboard and mouse.

Aside from the several times now that I've gone 'oh, crap. Which key is my grenade again?' (*accidentally activates super instead*:). I hadn't even thought about spotify I'm not sure whether it runs overlays in the same way things like Discord, Steam etc do – but when I use my media keys or volume control while I'm playing WoW, I get an overlaid graphic of the album cover, artist, title, volume etc.

It seems to be an extension of the standard Windows 10 media overlay. If Bungie's auto-perma-ban is as bad as some say, best to run the PC version with NOTHING else running for the moment. I'm sure they'll clarify (and fix) it soon enough. I normally use GeFroce Experience as well. Surely its not GeForce?? Some on Reddit insist it is a problem, other say it isn't.

Like all stealth stuff in games it's a matter of guessing at the moment. I don't use the 'Experience' myself (bloated resource hog that it is) so I'm safe from any problems with it regardless. Sorry for the Noob question but I can't see a MP option anywhere.

It is a little confusing. You'll need to wait till get progress through the campaign a little until you hit 'The Farm', which is the main social hub area – you'll know it when you see everybody else around (note: it opens up after the second time you visit 'The Farm'). From here you can form Fire Teams by pressing 'U'. It is much easier if you are in a Clan or Friends on the Battle.Net application with the person that you want to team up with. On a side note: does anybody know how to leave a Fire Team?

I formed up with a random player this afternoon but couldn't work out how to leave the Fire Team after the team leader ran off on me. I really want to know what is actually happening with all these bans, there is something funny going on. Conroe Presler Fsb1066 Dual Core Cpu Drivers more. It is absolutely ridiculous that I'm sitting here feeling afraid to even launch the game. The one mate who was still going to play the game with me, who built a fresh PC for it even, sent me a text saying it wasn't happening anymore because he got hit with the ban after about 20 minutes of playing. He said he was running OBS and MSI Afterburner because he hadn't felt the need to check if they were 'compatible' with the game and then here we are.

Bungie now say these programs are not to blame for the bans but he had literally nothing else on the PC which was a fresh OS install done this morning. Now people are thinking it's possibly fancy mouse/keyboard software getting picked up as something malicious by the game? Exactly like this.

If that is what is happening then, well Bungie what the hell are you doing and how out of touch are you? Considering that they are partnered with Nvidia and that Geforce experience could be one of the culprit is kind of hilarious and sad at the same time. Seems like their inexperience with PC games is showing. If only they knew someone that they could have brought in for help.

Someone experienced with online gaming on the PC. Also it seems like there is no general chat functionality at all in The Farm which is extremely disappointing. I've created a clan for all of us starting off Destiny 2 AU Just joined as well as it seems like where many of us are heading (and apologies to Subwoofer for bailing on his clan!:) These programs are common place even on lower end mice and keyboards now days. Not only that, those sorts of programs (mouse/keyboard apps that can do automation or overlays) are pretty much mandatory to use the hardware. I know my Logitech keyboard and Razer mouse lose most of their features without their associated apps running, for example.

Is anybody else encountering long waits in the crucible? My NAT is moderate My NAT in- game shows as 'Open', and that'd be the ideal – make sure you have UPnP enabled on your modem/router. I have no idea what's happening with the plot and there's insufficient information to know this from within the game.

As someone who has played the campaign through to completion six times, now (3 classes, 2 platforms), I am going to respond like an annoyed parent: JUST BE QUIET AND PLAY THE GAME! Explanation: If you don't skip any of the cinematic clips and you listen to what is being said, all is explained to you, as you continue. This is how Destiny has always been – Even in the previous iteration of the game, the story and the lore was fleshed out in multiple different ways; from conversations between other characters, from what your 'ghost' says.Destiny was NEVER a game that laid it all out in front of you, like a linear story that you can just read as if it were a book, then toss it aside. -Side note: I will not be playing on PC until my Seahawk 1080Ti arrives, which will only be around Monday or Tuesday.Until then, you can find me on PS4 D2, as Achronyx. A bit disappointing they assume people have played the first one considering this is the first PC release.

There's really not much story to the first one, and what little there is gets covered by the intro video reasonably well. Destiny's never really been that big on deep and meaningful story;) I also feel they didn't rebalance the campaign considering that it's much easier to use a mouse and keyboard. It's a bit too easy to be honest. It's definitely easier with mouse and keyboard, no question about that. I guess, though, they had to keep in mind that the PC version still supports controllers, and many people will opt to use one instead. I played through all planets and levels 0-20 with a friend today and we definitely mentioned lack of difficulty. It's definitely going to be a LOT easier with a friend.

Solo, there's a few spots where I'll be interested to see how M+K shapes up compared to the PS4 controller. Explanation: If you don't skip any of the cinematic clips and you listen to what is being said, all is explained to you, as you continue.

This is not what I meant. I am referring to the fact that it seems to assume you've played the first game, or read up on background material, etc. From the sounds of it, you've played the first game and so you probably already had the background knowledge rather than jumping in part way. There's really not much story to the first one, and what little there is gets covered by the intro video reasonably well.

Destiny's never really been that big on deep and meaningful story;) I guess what I meant was the first mission was quite confusing. A bunch of characters came in without proper introduction, which I felt I was supposed to care about. Are they special people? I have no idea. Are they my boss, my friends, just random dudes?

What's the speaker and why do I care if he's kidnapped? I wasn't even sure if the giant sphere was supposed to have the giant metal starfish on it (I'm guessing not, but it took me a while to realise it considering it looks different to the rest of their fleet).

Honestly I felt the intro video was a little vague 'an enemy came and the sphere sacrificed itself to power up personal robot things with light' and could have been longer. I suppose they were relying on people doing their homework and watching some youtube summary videos prior to jumping in and playing the second game. I thought it was meant to scale difficulty:( I think it might be increasing the numbers to match. I do find I'm running out of ammo a lot despite not wasting it too much, which is probably a sign that I'm facing increased numbers I guess.

Alternatively maybe I'm not supposed to clear areas. Fun none the less. Weapons feel good, although I haven't figured out the system yet. Edit: - nice summary for people as lost as I am.

Bungie's response to PC banning. We have seen lots of questions about bans being issued in the PC version of Destiny 2.

To provide some information, we would like to share some facts. The following is true: Destiny 2 cannot automatically ban you, only Bungie can ban a player after a manual investigation Yesterday, we banned approximately 400 players on PC Bans were applied to players who were using tools that pose a threat to the shared ecosystem of the game We did not (and will not) issue any bans for the use of overlays or performance tools, including Discord, Xsplit, OBS, RTSS, etc. Information on using third-party applications can be found here: We are overturning 4 of the bans that were issued during the PC Beta We are committed to providing an experience that is fun and fair for the millions of players who have joined us in this community. Finished the sp campaign and enjoyed it considering it’s my first destiny game. For those looking for your bonus items, you can pick them up at the vendors once the sp campaign is over.

The issues I encountered are as follows:- Level 1-15 game played great 110-142fps @1440p (capped). Level 16-20 Random game Crashes to desktop with no error message ranging from 30min-2hr game time. My PC is normally rock solid when it comes to games with a mild CPU overclock and low cpu/gpu temps, will try running it at stock tonight. (6700k/1080ti/Win10) Having a look at the support forums indicates many people having crashing with Intel/Amd/nvidia hardware. I have had discord (overlay disabled) and GeForce experience running during my playtime.

I was wondering maybe the patch version file might have been corrupted so uninstalled everything downloaded it as a torrent file the same as before but after install where it asks to launch the game i unchecked it and before launching the game i op-ened the directory the game was installed in and deleted the 00000065.pak and launched the game. It worked for me so feel free to try this yourselves. Guys, have you tried his solution for.65.pak? Install the game 2. After installing the game, dont press 'Ok' uncheck the box where it says 'launch the game' 3. Find your Dragon Nest client >right click >properties >find target. Delete the 000000065.pak inside the folder.

Run the client.
